We have worked together for over two decades in the management of senior care communities known for quality of care and business success.

Michel Augsburger, MBA, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Augsburger is a recognized and respected pioneer in the senior care industry. His entrepreneurial spirit and various professional ventures in acute, sub-acute and long-term care have resulted in the formation of a quality-focused, reputable, and profitable assisted living and memory care communities in multiple states. Mr. Augsburger’s personal energy and charisma have made him a leader in health care for nearly 40 years. His genuine interest in advancing the reputation of the senior care industry resulted in leadership positions at both the state and national levels serving as Chairman of the California Assisted Living Association and Vice-Chairman of the Assisted Living Federation of America.

Cluney Stagg, PhD, Chief Financial Officer

Dr. Stagg possesses a rich and varied educational and professional background. He began his healthcare career after considerable achievements in the academic and environmental arenas. Since 1996, Dr. Stagg has provided expert direction in the acquisition and development of long-term care communities. In his roles overseeing operations and then corporate finance, his intellect, coupled with a genuine honest and likeable demeanor has garner respect among financiers and peers.

Danit McBride, BS, Vice President Administration and Corporate Secretary

Ms. McBride provides a wealth of hands-on operational experience and tenacity for excellence. Her human resource acumen and regulation expertise are the produce of solid, well-rounded professional experiences in acute and long-term care facilities for more than 20 years. She is results-oriented with a deep understanding of the day-to-day challenges faced by front-line staff. Ms. McBride’s direct, yet empathetic approach to employee relations has fostered staff loyalty and respect.

What we do

We provide care for seniors in a variety of settings. We strive to provide quality care and services and to ensure the dignity for those that we serve while offering satisfying employment for those that we employ. We care for over 750 seniors at our eleven communities 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We employ about 650 employees, many of whom have been with us since we began operating the community at which they work.

Chancellor Health Care Living Options

Chancellor Health Care offers a variety of senior living options to meet most every need:

Independent Living: Our independent living communities are designed for seniors who need little or no assistance with activities of daily living. We offer a variety of apartment options from charming studios to spacious two-bedroom apartments. Our services include delicious meals in the dining room, housekeeping and laundry as well as a full array of interesting activities and entertainment. Other services, such as home health care may be arranged through an outside agency.

Assisted Living: Our assisted living communities offer a variety of accommodations, supportive services and health care tailored to meet the needs of individual residents. Our staff provides assistance with every day living activities such as bathing, dressing, and assistance with medications, meals and transportation. Our services can include assistance with mobility, incontinence and some mild cognitive impairment. Residents are assessed upon move in, or at any time there is a change in condition. This assessment is then used to develop a service plan for the resident. Our communities offer a wide range of activity programs and entertainment.

Memory Care is provided in a secure environment in some of our assisted living communities for residents diagnosed with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. We offer unique operational protocols to enhance quality of life for residents, emphasizing security and safety and an appropriate range of life-affirming and encouraging tailored to each person’s abilities and cognition. Our dementia programs incorporate the latest disease research findings, including aromatherapy, light therapy, touch therapy, music and pet therapy, among others.

Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation: Our skilled nursing communities offer 24-hour skilled nursing care for long-term residents and for short-term rehabilitation stays. Our compassionate and caring staff is trained to assist our residents with their complex medical needs and activities of daily living. Our services include physical, occupational, and speech therapy. We also provide group and one-to-one therapeutic activities.
